Estimado Dueño de Estudio de Mi Guk Kwan:
I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits.
Espero que esta carta lo encuentre a usted con buena salud y espíritu.
I would like to personally congratulate all the candidates from regions 35 /36 who participated in this Spring Shim Sa and clinic. During our clinics we covered a new Korean Sword form for red belts (Sahm Soo Gum Bup Ill Bon) to use in competition and exhibitions. Sa Bom Nim Cesar Rubio has video taped me performing Sahm Soo Gum Bup Ee Bon and Sa Bon. After Sa Bom Nim Cesar Rubio learns these hyungs he has my approval to begin teaching them to red belts and up. Keep in mind these forms are basically FYI (for your information only) and are not mandatory curriculum material. Because they are optional it is my hope that many of you will find them useful as a motivational tool for your students.
Yo quiero felicitar personalmente a todos los candidatos de las Regiones 35 /36 que han participado en estas Clínicas y Shim Sa de Primavera. Durante nuestras Clínicas hemos trabajado la nueva forma de Sable Coreano para Cinturones Rojos (Sahm Soo Gum Bup Ill Bon), la cual se puede utilizar en competencias y exhibiciones. Sa Bom Nim Cesar Rubio ha grabado en video cuando yo he ejecutado Sahm Soo Gum Bup Ee Bon y Sa Bon. Luego de que Sa Bom Nim Cesar Rubio aprenda estos hyungs, él tiene mi autorización para comenzar a enseñar estas formas a los Cintos Rojos y grados superiores. Tengan en cuenta que estas formas son básicamente P.S.I. (para su información solamente) y no son parte obligatoria del curriculum a enseñar. Dado que estas formas son opcionales, yo espero que muchos de ustedes encuentren que estas formas son útiles como herramienta de motivación para sus alumnos.
My gratitude goes out to Sa Bom Nim Sepulveda and all the students of Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan, Chile for their hospitality and all their hard work to make sure that Sa Bom Nim Longinotti and I were comfortable and well taken care of during our visit to Chile. I really want to say that I think the Concepcion / Tome area of Chile is quite beautiful and I am glad I had a chance to see this part of Chile.
Quiero expresar mi gratitud a Sa Bom Nim Sepulveda y todos los estudiantes de Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan, Chile, por su hospitalidad y todo el trabajo duro que hicieron para asegurar que Sa Bom Nim Longinotti y yo estuviéramos confortables y bien atendidos durante nuestra visita a Chile. Realmente quiero decir que pienso que el área de Concepcion / Tome en Chile es muy bella, y yo estoy contento de haber tenido la chance de haber conocido esta parte de Chile.
Now that the 32nd Dan / 17th Kodanja Shim Sa has passed, I have had time to review the results and reflect upon the performance of our candidates. Overall I thought this Dan / Kodanja Shimsa went very well and for the most part most of the candidates were well prepared. I should also point out that overall the spirit and enthusiasm was excellent and that the candidates were observably all fine men representatives of our art. The energy and enthusiasm demonstrated by the participants was a reflection of the excellent instructors representing the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan, Chile / Argentina in Regions 35 / 36.
Ahora que el 32vo Dan / 17vo Kodanja Shim Sa han pasado, he tenido tiempo de revisar los resultados y reflexionar sobre las performances de nuestros candidatos.
Por encima de todo, yo pienso que este Dan / Kodanja Shimsa fue muy bueno, y que en su mayor parte la mayoría de los candidatos estaban bien preparados. También debo señalar que en todo momento el espíritu y el entusiasmo fueron excelentes, y que todos los candidatos fueron muy buenos representantes de nuestro arte. La energía y el entusiasmo demostrados por los participantes fue un reflejo de los excelentes instructores que representan Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan en Chile y Argentina (Regiones 35 / 36).
I am sure everyone will continue to demonstrate their Moo Do Shim Gung as they fulfill their retesting requirements. I have authorized Sa Bom Nim Longinotti to travel to Chile next April as my representative to conduct clinics and retesting for those candidates who must fulfill retesting requirements. He will also conduct a promotion cermony for our new Kodanja members.
Estoy seguro que cada uno continuará demostrando su Moo Do Shim Gung cuando ellos deban cumplir con los requerimientos de sus re-testeos. Yo he autorizado a Sa Bom Nim Longinotti a viajar a Chile el próximo mes de Abril como mi representante, para conducir clínicas y re-testear a aquellos candidatos que deban cumplir requerimientos de re-testeo. Él también conducirá la ceremonia de Promoción para nuestros nuevos miembros Kodanja.

The other candidates who participated in these You Dan Ja and Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa need to be retested in one or some items, and this will be done during next You Dan Ja testing scheduled for April 2012.
