TAMBIÉN EL SILENCIO IMPRUDENTE DEJA EN EL ERROR A LOS QUE TENDRÍAN QUE SER INSTRUÍDOS"

"DEBEMOS EVITAR EL ESCÁNDALO. PERO SI POR EL ESCÁNDALO SE PRODUCE LA VERDAD,

ANTES QUE ABANDONAR LA VERDAD, SE DEBE PERMITIR EL ESCÁNDALO"

I AM NOT ONE MORE...

KJN CHARLES FERRARO (63) teaching his Dan class

People who regularly read my blog know that a recurring theme in my notes is the attitude that I THINK should have Masters, Professors and Instructors about the training: IN MY OPINION the person in charge of the class... Master, Professor or Instructor... SHOULD perspiring IN ALL THE CLASSES... they should show the techniques over and over again... they should explain them over and over again... and should practice them over and again during class.

Speaking of that a few days ago with a person... and talking about age... that person told me, "I think a Master, Professor or Instructor should be devoted to teach the class... and display the techniques to the extent that age permits... and should not be worried that anyone compares them with younger students.

It is as happens with the runners... it is reasonable that a 25-year person runs 20 km per day... while a 40-year runs 15 km per day... and a 55-year runs 10 km per day... or whatever they can."

I replied, "Let's see. You compare the runners each other according to their age... and that’s ok... IN THAT CASE... they all are runners... all are "equal".

But when I teach the class... I AM NOT ONE MORE... I'm not "equal" to students... IN THAT CASE... I SHOULD  BE THE EXAMPLE THAT INSPIRES THEM.

A 25-year runner who runs 20 km per day... watching a man of 55 who runs 10 km per day... could say: "Okay. It's logical."... and he goes on his way.

But if that same young man sees 55-year runner running 17 or 18 km per day... he would say, "Wow!!... look at him... he runs almost the same as me... but being 30 year older than me!"...
And for he himself... though perhaps not to tell it loudly... the young may feel "some embarrassment" to do just a little more than the man who is 30 years older than him... "shame" that can lead him to train more.

In other words, this 55-years man doing "almost the same" as the 25-year young man... IS AN INSPIRING EXAMPLE... which motivates… and pushes those who see him to work harder every day. "

I (54) teaching during my class
An example: A few months ago one of my students told me that his father and uncles are about my age... but when he physically compares them to me... seems to him that they were 20 or 25 years older than me.
This is precisely what I'm talking about... and that was not the only time someone told me something like that.

So that is what I understand should be the actions of Masters, Professors or Instructors during the classes: they should teach... they should correct... but fundamentally should show again and again each technique... for students to see their effort and the result of many years of dedication... to be AN EXAMPLE THAT INSPIRES AND MOTIVATES.
